Texture Codex

Not sure which texture to pick? Use this guide! “Best for” is based on common slime community tips and our own Guild testing.

💧 Clear Slime
Crystal-clear and stretchy—perfect for showing off glitter, gold leaf, and charms.
Feels like: Thick, stretchy honey
Best for: Experienced slimers (stickiest type; most sensitive to heat and lotion on hands)
Pro tips: Wash hands & dry fully; start with 1–2 drops of activator if sticky. Let rest in jar to clear bubbles.

XP Slimes examples: Mana Ooze, Healing Berry Elixir, Prismberry Cluster

🌈 Jelly Slime: Jiggly and clicky with glossy pops
Feels like: Bouncy, glossy jelly
Best for: Beginner → Intermediate (forgiving but still a little sticky when warm)
Pro tips: If tacky, add a tiny bit of activator and knead slowly. Cool hands = better handling.

XP Slimes examples: Quest Jelly, Mystic Gel, Starfall Citrus Jelly

☁️ Cloud Slime
Soft, fluffy, and wonderfully drizzly—the easiest, coziest texture to handle.
Feels like: Cool cotton candy
Best for: Beginners & sensory seekers (very low stick; super soothing)
Pro tips: Fluff by stretching and “pulling apart.” A light residue is normal—just wash hands after play.

XP Slimes examples: Moondew Berry Silk

🧈 Butter Slime
Thick, spreadable, and ultra-soft—amazing for slow swirls and holdable play.
Feels like: Smooth icing or soft putty
Best for: Beginners & stress relief (low stick; very controllable)
Pro tips: If stiff, warm in hands or add a pea-size drop of unscented lotion. Avoid over-activating.

XP Slimes examples: Spiritfruit Bloom, Potion of Calm

❄️ Icee Slime
Cool, snow-like, and drizzly—fluffy with a frosty touch.
Feels like: Icy slush or sorbet
Best for: Beginner → Intermediate (low stick, may leave light “snow” residue)
Pro tips: If dry, add a few drops of water and knead. Go slow with activator—too much ruins the drizzle.

XP Slimes example: Frostvine Grape Essence

✨ Glossy Slime
Slick, stretchy, and super shiny—great for pokes and bubble pops.
Feels like: Thick shampoo or pudding
Best for: Intermediate (can get tacky with warm hands; rewards patience)
Pro tips: Let rest to regain shine. A drop or two of activator fixes tack; avoid lotions before play.

XP Slimes examples: XP Potion

📿Bingsu Slime
Super crunchy with bingsu beads—maximum ASMR and moldable crackles.
Feels like: Slime with crispy cereal / crackling treasure
Best for: Intermediate → Advanced (beads can fall out if under-activated or over-stretched)
Pro tips: Keep slightly on the sticker side to suspend beads. Stretch slowly for big crunch.

XP Slimes examples: Slime Chest, Ember Plum Infusion

🧊 Jelly Cube Slime: Clear or jelly base with soft sponge “jelly” cubes for chewy, squishy pops.
Feels like: Bouncy jelly with soft cube bites
Best for: Intermediate
Pro tips: Stretch slowly; avoid over-activating. Store airtight so cubes don’t dry. Also after popping the jelly cubes the slime takes on a whole new texture.

🫧 Floam Slime: Slime packed with micro foam beads for super crackly, moldable texture.
Feels like: Slime + tiny crunchy pearls
Best for: Intermediate → Advanced (bead fallout if too soft)
Pro tips: Keep slightly sticker to suspend beads; stretch slowly for big crackles.

☁️🍦 Cloud Cream: A creamy blend of cloud + clay—softer and creamier than butter, less drizzly than full cloud.
Feels like: Whipped frosting with a light, airy pull
Best for: Beginners & sensory seekers (low stick, very cozy)
Pro tips: Fluff by gentle pulls; if dry, add a few drops of water and knead.

🧊🥤 Slushee Slime: Clear base with small, hard slushee beads.
Feels like: Icy drink with crunchy ice chips
Best for: Intermediate
Pro tips: Slightly sticker base prevents bead fallout; stretch slowly for satisfying scrunch.

☁️🍩 Cloud Dough: Butter + instant snow for a dense, doughy, ultra-soft texture (less drizzle, more sculpt).
Feels like: Soft play-dough with extra cushion
Best for: Beginners & stress relief (very low stick, great for swirls)
Pro tips: If stiff, warm in hands or add a pea-sized drop of lotion. Avoid over-activating.

🐟 Fishbowl Slime: Clear base with large bowl beads for glassy looks and crisp crunches.
Feels like: Slime with chunky, clacky beads
Best for: Advanced
Pro tips: Keep base on the firmer side; fold and compress to avoid bead fallout.
XP Slimes examples: None currently

🗻 Avalanche Slime: Aesthetic layered slime (usually clear base + white glue top) that collapses into marbled streams as it melts.
Feels like: Thick clear + creamy layer melding together
Best for: Intermediate
Pro tips: Let it rest upright to maintain the look; knead gently once layers start to flow.
XP Slimes examples: None currently

🐸 Frogspawn Slime : Large, smooth, hard round beads with a frosted finish that look like frog eggs suspended in clear or jelly slime. They offer crisp, clacky pops that sound like frogs croaking.
Feels like: Glossy gel with big, smooth orbs that roll and gently clack
Best for: Intermediate → Advanced (heavy beads need a sticker base to prevent fall-out)
Pro tips: Keep the clear/jelly base a touch less activated; fold and compress instead of fast pulls; store upright with a bit of headspace; avoid lotion/heat before play.

🕯️ Wax Topper (Iceberg): Melted wax is poured over the slime and allowed to set. When you open the jar, you gently crack the hardened wax layer to reveal the stretchy, soft slime beneath.
Feels like: A crisp snap on top, then smooth, stretchy pulls as the wax shards mix in (brief crunchy bits that become creamy over time)
Best for: Intermediate → Advanced (works best when the base is slightly firm so the topper cracks cleanly and beads/shards don’t fall out)
Pro tips: Crack the topper into larger pieces, then fold and press slowly; keep the base a touch more activated for support; store upright; do not heat the jar. The wax layer is pre-set—never pour hot wax yourself. A tiny residue at first is normal and fades as you mix.

🌋 Lava Slime:  Crushed lava rock granules (pumice/lava gravel) suspended throughout the slime.

Feels like: Weighted, slow stretches with a gentle “pebble massage” and soft clacks; more textured than glossy, less crunchy than bingsu.

Best for: Advanced. Not ideal for sensitive hands.

Pro tips: Keep the base a touch sticker than usual so the rock granules stay suspended. Fold/press to play; avoid fast, wide pulls.

🧋 Float Slime: A clay piece “floats” on a clear or glossy base; you mix when ready for a creamy transformation.
Feels like: Clear/glossy base + butter cream after mixing
Best for: Beginners → Intermediate (very forgiving once mixed)
Pro tips: Add clay gradually; if too thick, a drop of glycerin or lotion helps reach swirl perfection.
XP Slimes examples: None currently

🧈🧱 Slay Slime: Base + clay hybrid that’s thicker than glossy, softer than butter—stretchy, sculptable, and plush.
Feels like: Silky taffy that holds shape
Best for: Beginners → Intermediate (low stick, great control)
Pro tips: If it tightens over time, warm in hands or add a pea-size drop of lotion and knead slowly.
